Emma has worked in Learning & Development for over 20 years.

Most recently, she has developed and managed the Work+Family Academy for My Family Care/Bright Horizons - shaping a dynamic programme to support leading employers and their employees.

Emma has designed and hosted, as coach facilitator, hundreds of Academy events and group coaching sessions over the last 8 years.

Prior to that, working alongside Elizabeth Jarman, Emma delivered Communication Friendly Spaces (CFS)™ training and events to Early Years professionals and devised the CFS™ for Families Framework and CFS™ for Public Learning Spaces training and development programmes.

As Skills for Families Regional Adviser (London), for Tribal Education, Emma supported local boroughs across the capital with their Family Learning and Engagement programmes.

In her work as Associate for Campaign for Learning, Emma delivered training to schools on the national digital inclusion programme.

She is a parent of three and brings her own personal insights for managing work and life today. Emma’s work pattern has been agile for most of her career and from before the term was widely used.  She is passionate about exploring and adopting positive working approaches to better conversations on all this.

Right now, Emma is committed to taking workplaces into the post COVID 21st Century.  Today, the intersection of work ambition with broader life priorities is in the spotlight more than ever, with many employers and individuals asking,

'what next for work and life...?'

Emma holds an MA in Language & Culture, awarded by the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.  Her Master’s dissertation drew on her early career experience and work with The British Council in Nairobi and Johannesburg. Committed to lifelong learning (and unlearning), Emma holds a Certificate in Coaching (IAPD).
